My stay in Dusit Thani Maldives and why you should go!

Travelboutique Netherlands is THE Maldives Expert in the middle and high end travel market for FIT travel. We are dedicated to delivering the best of service and will always give honest advice on resorts. The guests requirements are our foundation and from there we build the most beautiful journey. We always overdeliver and we love making the extra mile. After visiting THE MALDIVES six times to over 30 resorts we’re the go to expert.

Seaplane – You go to this resort by seaplane, which takes up to 30-40 minutes flying over turquoise islets and reefs, resorts and local islands. Amazingly beautiful flight with addictive view from your window.

Tropical Green Island- The first thing I found typical for this resort is the beauty of the jungle. This is a natural island, full of screw pines and palm trees and lush greens. Like living on an island in a small village. The high palm trees, flowers and air roots are so beautiful that you feel relaxed and at home here within 24 hours.

Service & warmth of staff – That would be a 10 out of 10. From the moment you arrive with your sea plane at the jetty, the crew including the GM is there to wave at all arriving guests. Arrivals and give you a genuine smile and warm welcome. We were given a delicious drink made from butterfly pea tea, which is only the beginning of the refined culinary journey.

House reef – Baa atol is our favorite, as this atol is abundantly rich in fishes and bigger under water animals. Hanifaru Bay, the protected National Park where manta rays love to come to the feeding and cleaning stations is very close. You can expect to see a lot when staying here.

Culinairy – The Thai Benjarong restaurant, led by Thai chefs, serves a wide range of delicious Thai dishes. The best thing is that: it doesn’t taste ‘like’ Thailand, it IS Thailand. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with tasteful chicken/cashew nut, fresh rice, spicy or sweet salads. Would deficiently recommend to have dinner there a few times during your stay. When we were there it was a bit windy, so we sat inside, but outside, on the water, under the sparkling stars it would be even better.

The next night we had dinner in Sand Bar. Here we decided to go local with tuna taco’s and grilled tuna with veggies, rice and salad. Spot on, super fresh, deliciously grilled. Also we got an sweet chocolate desert. For this dinner I would return to Dusit Thani Maldives Resort.

Rooms- In this resort you can choose Beach rooms and Water Villa’s. I would recommend the Water Villa’s. For those who prefer a beach room, these are definitely spacious, have a nice big bedroom, shower and toilet outside and a wonderful shower in the garden under the coconut trees.

Water Villas are amazing. The view is beautiful, over the sea and when you go down the stairs into the sea wearing your snorkel. I advise to take the water villas, the view and colors are so much nicer than the beach villas.
