Hi Home! Heet deze stichting die is opgezet door deze leuke, vriendelijke, vrolijke vrouw Nourah al Sadoun uit Riyadh. Met haar familie woont ze in Riyadh in de hoofdstad van Saoudi Arabie en ze nodigt ons reizigers van harte uit om een keer bij haar htuis of bij andere Saoudi’s thuis te komen lunchen. Ze organiseert dit in Jeddah en Ruyadh, dus waar je ook aankomt in the Kingdom, wij regelen een mooie lunch voor je. Zo leer je namelijk de lokale mensen op een unieke manier kennen.

She’s opening her doors for guests visiting Saudi Arabia.
She’s a lovely gentle lady with a firm mind. You can see this from her gentle brown eyes. Must be the dna from her father, who was a fighter pilot and her mother who is a warm hearted, hospitable lady. Mum cooks for our group a fresh and tasty, typical Saudi lunch in her home.
Her father shares stories about his work in the past and we háve to try three kinds of dates that they grow in their own garden. Probably the best dates I ever tasted and will taste in my whole life.
At home with the Saoudi people is a special experience. What to say? Which topic to bring up in this country that is so new to us? Well, this is such a world-wise and funny family, dates and teas, work and family stories break the ice.
Nourah set up a business for travelers to enjoy a lunch at her own house and we talk about traveling in Saoudi, how the country is sky rocketing to a modern and sustainable tourism destination. O, yes, do they like Europe. They like London and Christmas lights and gifts and Amsterdam with the canals and the Bijenkorf. She wears a head cover, her sisters don’t want to and that her father allows, as he’s very modern.
Travel binds us all. Seeing different places makes us bring ideas, clothes, furniture, statues, perfumes home. Chanel 5 is what they also love.
